It has been brought to our attention that the finishing process on at least one kite company's 2011 kites (specifically the 2011 Cabrinha Crossbow) results in a lower bond between the GluFix and canopy.  Take the following measures to improve bonding:



1.  Use some sandpaper (fine grit) around the edges of the repair to remove any finishing elements that might prevent the GluFix from bonding with the material.

2.  Try using Methyl Hydrate to clean the kite.  Alcohol works well but Methyl Hydrate works much better.  Let dry for 2 hours before trying the repair.

3.  Try two thin layers of GluFix rather than one thicker.  Try using a credit card or similar plastic card to apply the GluFix thin.  Our applicators work but after a couple of uses, they need to be replaced.
